NISHABAD n TRAFFIC SIGNAL
Well hey blog.. I am back. Now I will write about the movies I saw at this weekend. As usual trying to make this post brief I start about the topic..
Traffic signal:- First of all thanks Arun for giving this movie. It was good I wont say great because great is the title very few movies deserve. As expected from a Madhur Bhandarkar film it was based on real stuff. This time the life of persons who make their living on traffic signal. Like beggars, newspaper sellers etc. I didn’t know that their life can be so interesting and full of all the stories that were part of the film. It had everything …comedy, romance, crime,drama.. whatever you can think of.. even the language used in the film looks appropriate and not too offensive like omkara. I cant type much to describe this film.. better see yourself….

NISHABAD:- I know the first thing that comes in your mind is “Theme is so patheticâ€. Many of my friends said this whenever I discussed about this film. Finally today I got the chance to watch this film. So we were 4 people. Me,Suneet,Hardeep,Chiranjeev. Sadly Deepi couldn’t come with us as he had his MBA exam on Monday. Anyways the movie started. As usual RGV style. The locations were brilliant and so was the backgroung score. Now the movie itself. First of all remember a few things.
This movie wasn’t all about Jiah Khan (Although she is hot..ok ok very hot and the first thing I did after coming back home is to download her wallpaper and set it on my pc). This movie was all about Amitabh. He was terrific. He was the only one who carried the movie all along with him. His style, dialogues, acting, emotions, expressions all were perfect. We were comparing this film with American Beauty. But it wasn’t anyway near to it. That film was very crude and bold. This on the other hand was very conservative and sensitive. Thank god RGV handeled it perfectly. This movie is slow but like The shawshsnk redemption this makes the movie better and Jiah Khan is the best discovery of RGV so far. She is perfect in her role of a teenager who wants what she likes. I don’t want to write anything about the plot or ending of the film as it will act as a spoiler. In the end I can say that either you will like this movie or you will just reject it. I loved this film and I don’t care if anyone likes it or hates it and most probably I will try to watch It again.
In the end you just can’t help thinking that the film definitely needed to take its title seriously: some things are better left unsaid – Nishabd.
