HASTA LA VESTA

HASTA LA VESTA

Don’t get confused by the title. It is under the influence of two things.

The first is TERMINATOR2 which I saw in Punjabi. It was both funny and pathetic but indeed was a lot of fun to watch and listen..

The second is the Pre Sat VESTA going on at our college. I didn’t attend day1 I saw only half of day2 and 3 . ( and I am still cursing myself that I missed Twisted movie of our year that even NANHA SHAITAN loved)_..

So here comes the brief description of Hasta la Vesta so far

Day 1: Didn’t attend….

Day 2: It started with Hindi solo.

The first singer came and his song was “tune mujhe pehchana nahin”. When he repeated the same line 123456677 times people started saying “han bas pehchan litta hun ja vi.”

Then came ranno of our year. He sang the same old soon boondein of silk route that he has sung for infinite times in the class. Without the guitar and drum it didn’t go well.

After that someone sang song of Lagaan. He did it really well.

Then came Mr. T of computer on drums with his friend singing. He was in lot of enthu so this resulted in the breaking of drum stick and they had to repeat.

In between PG guys started

“PG di balle balle baaki saare thalle thalle”

We replied

“PG hai hai.”

Then RJ came with Happy and they performed okeish but they won!! (3rd year rocks)

Then afterwards came the event we all have been waiting for “choreography”.

First team performed and they gave average performance .. but the real thing happened when our year came..

Most of the participants were performing for the first time but they were performing well. everything was going smoothly then someone came. my friend’s favorite uncle “MURPHY”. You will read it more from this blog and hope from this blog too. The CD got stuck and their performance was to be stopped in middle. But they came back and won (3RD year zindabaad!!!!!!!!!!)

The sexiest performance was of first year.

Then I left and missed a great twisted movie. 3rd year rocked again.

DAY 3:- TINDRA.. Don’t laugh it is a musical group of Norway. They were beautiful (posters were displayed). Now the audi was jam packed(mostly boys and some students of YPS too) .

Now they started performing. The trio was great (Smart,Beautiful and Sexy). They were so classy yet so enjoyable. The music was divine and although it was classical but it was enjoyable (their narration of stories before the songs was amazing and even if we didn’t understand their language we got the meaning of most of the songs.)

People were going mad (whistles, cheers etc.) and YPS students were gazing at hooligans like us in utter amazement. The Director was feeling shy (KABUL EXPRESS kinda thing was going on). SM was excited and DOSA left for back seets (coz it was too hot to handle for sir).

They even made the audience sing along with them and everyone tried it although a pathetic attempt but it was fun.

In the end they sang “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram” . it was magnificent and we all loved it.

Then the performance ended and director came for speech and his expressions I cant describe here. He was happy .. so was everyone as we don’t see such performances everyday……

Now bye blog.. vesta goes on hope my posts too…
