Day 2,FM

Hey blog I should have been at Riken now but I didn’t go there due to FM papers. As thought it was a disaster. Don’t even want to mention it here. Only thing I can say is that today we saw terrorism at its best. He was not listening to anybody’s queries although that person deserved marks. Some students discussed with him for an hour and all he said I will think over it. Then he simply put the papers of them in the bundle without even noting the roll numbers. Anyways it was expected. B is for sure thanks to tute, lab and 2nd mid sem. Now let’s see what will be the reaction of man eater tomorrow. Now let’s talk about day 2. Reached there at 9:30. We thought that we were late, we came to know MA (Man Eater) comes at 10:30. So from tomorrow we can reach there a bit late. We learnt many things yesterday. Programming of Micro controller was the best. You should have a sharp mind for all the troubleshooting. Worked till 4 then left for home. But we met another character. 3rd year EE student. My god he was damn funny. About a teacher he commented so loud that whole of Riken started looking at him. Many things he said can’t mention here. Everyone came for training. There are 5 from EE and 5 from EIC. Some persons were so shocked that nearly cried. I mean day 1 and they give you complicated PCB and tell you to check all the components is shocking indeed. Return journey was eventful as well. Didn’t get bus for Zirakpur for half an hour. Then bus to Patiala was jam packed. Poor bus conductor. He was nearly thrown out. I was confused what to save in this rush. My cell, wallet, turban or myself from falling out of the bus. We traveled for 1:30 hr standing and bearing all the jolts. It was a new experience. After a few days we will get used to it…..bye blog………

Day 1…Suffering and Travelling

Hey blog. It all started today. Went to Riken and had a lot of weird experiences there. Here is a brief summary of what happened.

Started at 8:00 A.M. . Reached bus stand after 15 min. got a bus for Zirakpur. It was empty though but as expected passengers kept on pouring in. at one point it was difficult to breathe also. Had to wait for the bus for Pkl for 15 min. it was very irritating. I was thinking “Thapar hi changa si ki panga paa liya”. Bus came and there was a lot of rush. Managed to get a seat. Then reached Pkl. Took a rickshaw and reached Riken at 10:30. I thought it will be a cool company only “ash” and no work. But I was wrong. We were greeted by a man eater kind of women. She said “9:00-5:30 Everyday”. We were so shocked. Then she introduced to our instructors “Navdeep” and some other “Sharma”(cant recall his name). so after asking our names they asked about others who were absent. We told their names. He said “Ki? Saare munde hi ne?” we said yes sir. They were a bit disappointed. Then another character came. Golu (we named him). He was very happy and said “Arrey main bhi Thapar se hoon”. We thought “So what, look at him, he is behaving as he is from IIT”. He asked us a simple question. “who nahin aye?” We asked “Kaun Sir?” He said “Shelly Tuteja”. We were shocked. Never expected this kind of question at Riken. We could only say “Sir yeh to hamein bhi nahin pata ki who kahan gye”. Navdeep sir introduced us to our project. “Component testing, Calibration and Fabrication of power meters”. Very interesting project indeed. Just ran away from there at 1:30. did all the work allotted to us “Testing of resistors (carbon and SMT), Pin analysis of Controller 7805”. Got a bus for Zirakpur. Then Patiala. There was a lot of rush as usual plus the heat. Only +ve point was a beautiful girl (I suppose a doctor) in the bus. Had a glimpse of her she was good looking indeed. There is something special about girls who are medical students or doctors, Persons who studied at Mohindra must agree with me on this. Ok blog bye for now cant type anymore……..

Training,Suffering or only Travelling?

Hi Blog I am back. No Bon Jovi this time but a very special song of Sting, “Every Breath You Take”. Perhaps I cant update you for some time because I will be damn busy from Monday. Got the slot at Riken, Panchkula. Have to do a lot of traveling daily. Rarely there goes a bus directly to Panchkula. First of all I have to go to Zirakpur then catch a bus to Panchkula there. Tiring journey. Sad part is I have to do it everyday. Hope these people aren’t too serious about training. Hate to do all this everyday. Plus it is the season I hate the most. But there is a positive side to it as well. At least the receptionist at Riken is beautiful. Although wears “Jassi” kind of spects. But still looks good. Speaks English and hindi very well. She has got a very sweet voice indeed. Chalo dil laggiya rahega. But Panchkula isn’t as rocking as Chandigarh. Looked like a boring city when I went there. If we get the chance we plan to go to FR very often. Hope this happens. We have to give a presentation also. Don’t know what will happen in it. I am still not sure how will they accommodate 11 students at their company. The company actually has only 1 room. Yet I don’t know which persons are with us at Riken. 5 from ICE, 6 from EE. From EE someone said “sleeping beauty” is going. Clueless about rest 5. at least I can have a sigh of relief. That no Tom, Dick and Harry will be there. So cheer up. And Panchkula here I come……….

Mandyisms 1

Thank god I will get B in NA. Now I have learnt a thing that one should not care much about studies if you are a 7 point someone. The fact is you will always remain at this level whatever you do. Just typing this post with Bon Jovi crying his lungs out Its My Life. My favorite song. Love this song a lot.

Coming back to the post. This is dedicated to the best teacher of EIED. M.A.N.D.Y. He is surely the best teacher who has taught us in 2 years. Perhaps the only subject so far in which I can boast of some concept. Although grade I got is still B. He is a rara avis indeed. Always has a smile on his face although it looks mischievous mostly. His behavior is bizarre some times. We couldn’t understand why is he like this? One day he told us that he developed many theories with Dr Kurian. On that that “The Da Mandy Code” was cracked. I have mentioned a lot about him in previous posts but he deserves a special post. Here I try to recall the incidents that happened this year.
1) A guy was napping in the class. Sir woke him and asked him to go outside. When he was going someone said “Sir ji eh raat nu picturan dekhda hai” Sir became angry and said you cant discuss anybody’s night life here.
2) On that day he said “I cause PS sleeping with ST (in lecture obviously what were you thinking?)” A guy got very excited and started hooting. Sir said how it looks when I say “I caught SS sleeping with AH?” Whole of class burst into laughter.
3) When he was teaching Braking torque. He said magnet opposes the motion and says “Na jao sayian ”
4) Once he asked a question a guy said 50-50. he said “Tumhari class mein 50-50 bohot hain”
5) Kelvin Double Bridge:- “This is the figure of the bridge, Who can appreciate figure more than me, Here are two legs (a pause) of bridge ”
6) Holi:- Guys from EE went to apply color to him. He by pointing his smallest finger said “Bas itna sa laga do”. A guy said sir yeh to ishara hota hai. To this he just showed his middle finger and said “Ishara to ye hota hai” OMG
7) Many times he never called name of Johnny and always calles aman as Only. Had some affection with happy and jumper. 8) Arrange Marriage: – Perhaps most famous of the all. This spread like a fire among all branches from COE to Civil. Its impact was such that whenever I asked anyone that will you do dual degree then that person said yes but I will do love marriage. Actually he was asking in the class who will go for dual degree. Only one girl raised her hand. He asked why? She said parental wish. To that an instant reply was so you will prefer arrange marriage? Who of class nearly died laughing. What a brain sir has got it is proper “shaatir” dimag. Sometimes it reminds me of myself. At least my friends say this.
9) Once in tute all girls were late. When they came sir asked the reason. HS who was sitting at last bench said “Chae peekar ayee hain ” sir said “tu pitega” after that he himself asked “Chae peekar ayee ho?”
10) Once in tute all girls were absent. There was a bottle of “Royal Stag” whisky placed on top of blackboard. DVD wrote on blackboard “Rann Botal Wargi” When sir came we pointed towards the bottle. He was very happy to see a bottle of whisky. He said “ik c se bhi hota hai” I never heard of Royal Ctag.
11) Once he wrote 2 sentences.
“Women, Without her man is wild” other was “Women without her man is wild”. A comma can change the meaning of sentence.
12) Some random sayings “Usko kya hua fir beemar ho gye dene ke baad (a pause) paper” , “Butt butt butt with a single t”
13) Once he asked about room temprature. Happy had a mobile which showe temp. He asked him about room temp. Happy took cell out of his pocket and said 32 degree. Mandy said “Actual temp. will be lower than this but you now know who is hot and who is not”. Voices came “Sir, Happy is hot”
14) Once NS was reading SMS on his phone in the class. Sir caught him and called him . Then he said “Sab moh maya hai, Kiska SMS aaya tha?”. Students started shouting “Sir, Maya ka”. This terryfied buddy and he at once put his cell inside his pocket.
15) Once Jojo was playing Tic-Tac-Toe in the class. Sir caught him too. He said “Tum soch rahe hoge kaise sir hain? Sab ko pakar lete hain. Humne bhi yeh bohot kiya hai apne time mein. Bas ik kone mein baith jao fir jo marzi karo. Kaun dekhne wala hai.”
Whole of the class laughed. Then he said to his fav. stu. “Inko apne notes mat dena, Yeh bohot shararti hain, class mein khelte hain”
16) When he was distributing papers at that time he said to RB “You are wearing a cute top.” We were shocked to hear this from sir . She only said said “Sir aap paper de do.”

Enough for now. many things are left that some other time. And all the incidents are real and not modified. It is all sheer observation. Perhaps I will write its second part…….

Fanaa,F1,Orkut (Random thoughts)

Saw Fanaa today. Can’t describe it simply awesome. Didn’t go to the theater to see this again got a pirated CD. Print was terrible not even full screen. But the movie was so good that the quality of print didn’t matter. I wont be spoiling your plans to see the movie if you haven’t done that by telling the story here. Aamair Khan was great as ever. He is the best. The transformation from a Romeo to a terrorist he handles it so effortlessly is wonderful. Kajol what to talk about her magnificent, graceful perhaps I don’t have words. Her acting was amazing as ever but her eyes and her smile was the best part of the film. There is a lot of difference between professional and models like Katrina who doesn’t even know to speak hindi. The music was superhit before the film. Kailash Kher and Shaan have sung Chaand Sifarish very well. Shot in Poland (I beleive) and this is a must watch film. Only in theaters please. I still regret missing the chance to go yesterday. Nothing else to say except go and watch this wonderful movie.

Now something about my passion f1. I was among 90% of Indians who came to know that anything like this existed when an Indian Narain Kartikeyn (sorry for spellings I am very bad in remembering names). When he turned out to be a flop show then I left watching f1. Everything changed when I was browsing through English songs I saw a song called “The Schumacher Song by DJ Visage”. When I heard that then I thought that I was indeed missing something. Then started following f1 again and let me tell you it was a great experience. I hate cricket now. There is nothing like the sound of a V8 engine that Ferrari or Renault generates. This year Australian GP was very exciting due to all the crashes that occurred particularly that of Ferrari. But Imola was the best. “Clash of God Schumi and King Alonso”. Schumi won the race perhaps used all his experience in that single race. All othet GPs were boring. But my favourite Alonso won 5/7. Simply awesome. Still searching for Alonso song. It doesn’t exists as for now………..

Now about orkut and blogspot. Blogging is my passion. Orkut is my addiction. Both try to connect people. Orkut does that in a better way. By blogging I think I am securing my future. Perhaps after a few years when I browse through my old posts then I can remember the experiences at Tihar of Patiala.

Bye Bye Sem 4………..

Semester ended today. I should be happy but I am very depressed today. Didn’t even go to see Fanaa with friends. I wanted to make a post about this semester. Here it comes. I hope I write a decent enough post.
I had MBA in this sem. No I am not referring to that rubbish dual degree program introduced by the greedy management of our college. I mean “Modification of Behavior and Attitude”. I have transformed completely in this span. Don’t even want to think about it. The more I think the more I feel sad. So cut the crap and start with the post.THE RECORDS I MADE IN THIS SEMESTER
1) Surfing :- I surfed and chatted till 4:30 AM on 13th Feb. it was my B.day . I was surfing till 2 and was about to sleep then Hardeep’s message came and he told me to be online. I chatted with him till 4. slept at 4:30 AM. A record I find myself tough to beat.
2) Reaching home late:- On Saturnalia. Rock show ended at 12:15. then we were very late in SR. Then I had to drop Chachu at home. Reached home at 1:15 AM. Never have been so late.
Cant remember anything else worth mentioning here…..

THE TEACHERS
Perhaps I had never seen such a colorful faculty. Lets discuss about each of them one by 1.
1) Dr K a s a n a:- I will not use the world late with him because he is still alive in form of the research work and his publications. Perhaps the best teacher in MCA dept. our group had a bizarre incident with him outside NA lab on holi when he scolded us for playing holi. His dialogue was “ Sharam na ave tumhe?? Kaise gande gande mooh bana ke aa jaate ho?? Gharwalon ne kuch na sikhaya tumhe?” and when madam complained about the lab being damaged by all the holi colors then he said “Lab kaun sa chui mui ka phool hai”. But he was a great teacher. We will always remember him.
2) M a n d e e p S i n g h T(MST). :- What this T ? All my friends know about it. Now what is MST.? A cool dude? Or a T? I think “KURIAN” with a turban. There are many bizarre incidents of him. I mentioned them in previous posts. Some like Arrange Marriage, With Jojo, Amanjeet Singh, are left. Don’t want to mention them here. “Butt Butt Butt with a single t” that he said in a lecture and that holi incident which Bhuvnesh told us OMG. Then a day he asked a very famous question. Why PC is called so? Best thing was that he knew it. He is a very good teacher. And has knowledge on spiritual aspect of life as well. I might not respect him. But I do admire his knowledge.
3) R .K. S h a r m a (aka Rishi Kapoor):- A good teacher. Mentioned about him a lot in previous posts. It seemed that we weren’t attending his lecture but attending a charity show. He seemed to be a bit confused. That incident with Robin was awesome. And his CR(Copy Right) is “5 minute bahar ghoom ke aao”. But he was a decent enough teacher.
4) Sunidhi Bhalla:- By far the most beautiful teacher i have ever seen. Very pretty ,beautiful,elegant etc. Words cant describe her. She has left thapar now . Since words cant truly  describe her so i wont waste my time on it. It was a nice experience  attending her classes. Some funny moments were there,Will describe them later.

5) H a r i s h K u m a r(Musa):- Cool guy. Randhawa 2. I got 75/100 in his subject and still B. A good teacher but cant control the class.
6) S a r a b j i t Singh (aka Bhola,Terrorist,Bhaaaaandranwala):- Weird personality. Cancelled our quiz because we went to give analog quiz. 0/8 for 90 students. His parents never taught 2 things. First is that there exist a thing called first man and he always asks questions from last maaaans. Usually CR of Elect. The other thing he never asked any question from girls. Perhaps he doesn’t know that there exists a thing called Womaaaan. I remember an incident when he was asking all the guys about coming late. Suddenly 2 girls came he got confused as if saw this kind of creature for first time. No comments about his teaching. Acoordin to jumper he is “FM ka gandi naali ka kida”
7) MA (aka MOM):- Agood teacher I must say. But she is trying to teach enviro to engineering students. Our situation in her class fits in form of a Sidhuism. We are so confused that we are like “A 5 year old baby in a topless bar”. She always says “Mechanical ke ladke biotech ki ladkiyan dekh kar paagal ho jaate hain”. I want to ask mam kaun nahin hota? Sometimes she tries to bring humor in the class but always fails. But I appreciate her effort that although partially but she understands our psychology.
8) SK S r iv a s t a v a :- Old man. Has some problem with digestive system I suppose. Always chews something. But this doesn’t sounds decent because he is a very expirenced old person. But who cares we are students after all.
I will stop at this point about teachers……..

THE GRADES:- Suffered from AR syndrome. All A changed to B. B to C and don’t even want to think about C’s…….
SUMMARY
Experienced a lot of things in this semester. Some I haven’t posted. I was very sad sometimes. But I do remember a line said by a ‘very special person’ “do not worry, god is always with you”…I think it is right too. So no more depressing talks. And if anyone finds language offending. Do not complain. It is my space it belongs to me, I belong to it……………..

Had FM today. Paper was a disaster…..Oh god you cant be so cruel……………At least 1 end sem cud have gone well…….Nothing is going right for me……….If i get marks in lab my end sem goes poor and vice versa………..Thank god it will finish tomorrow….looking forward to Panchkula……..

A friend argued with me about Schumi being god of f1……ok i agree…but his situation is similar to that of Sachin in Cricket…..37 yrs old dnt kno for how long he will continue??????? Alonso looks quite similar to Dhoni…..my friends always confuse his wallpaper on my cell with him..the first reaction on seeing the wallpaper is…dhoni??…and i say no Alonso…..then some ask who is he??? then i have to tell them all the story and this goes on…………..

I am desperate to watch Fanaa. HT has given it 4 stars…it must be special. Perhaps tomorrow i will see it……..waiting for it……..now Enviro. is left…….Lot of syllabus and only a few hours to do it…..Lets start it now….and 1 thing i plan to do after exams is lots of blogging…….bye blog

Alonso rules

Alonso won again….Didnt get to see full race but saw a few laps. First time alonso finished a race in monaco and he did it in style. GR8….. Have a tough paper tomorrow. Bye blog
