DHOOM 1-3……….

Dhoom Dhoom Dhoom…………………….

This was so famous when in 2004 Dhoom was released. I remember all the reviews my friends gave it. Everyone was saying it is like a pure Hollywood flick. Lots of action and great acting plus wonderful soundtrack made the recipe of a block buster. John Abraham was sensational in it and Abhishek too did his job well. Bikes, Women and Music made this a monumental movie in Bollywood.

Then came Dhoom2 in 2006. It was one of the most anticipated movie of the year and it had Hrithik in it. The music wasn’t as successful as first movie but anyways title song rocked. Movie was average (I am being too generous). Girls loved it madly due to Hrithik. The songs were mostly stupid and Ash although looked hot but her dialogues were pathetic. The worst part was the kissing seen. I mean when will these people learn to kiss properly??? They should learn from the B,C grade actresses. Anyways Movie was a success.

Now in year 2007. Dhoom 3 will come. Starring Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan and Uday Chopra. Shahruk will be the villain and Aamir is the cop. People are looking forward to Aamir but SRK!!!!!!! He is the most pathetic villain in movies. Don was pathetic and don’t know what will he do here.

Uday Chopra is always there because
1) He is son of Yash Chopra
2) His character in movie is funny and dumb and he looks like it.
3) Although he looks like a frog but anyways he has the physique so who cares

Well I am waiting for Dhoom 3……..

PS:- The trailer is fake

The Great Indian News

What is NEWS?? It was North East West South sometimes back.

It was a medium to get updated with the latest in the world. A few years back before the arrival of satellite channels there was only DD1 channel and on it the news were mostly edited according to the government regulations. Navjot Kaur, Nalini Singh were few of the famous news readers. News just had a fix timing 9:00 P.M. and there was a curiosity about the news even if the content wasn’t up to the mark.

Times changed then came some foreign channels like BBC, CNN it raised the standard a bit but had virtually no impact on Indian news.

Then came the revolution. The arrival of private channels in the field. This raised the eyebrows of the Indian tv people and thus resulted in start of some private news shows at the national channels. One such show was Aaj Tak that was aired on DD Metro on weekdays at 10:00 P.M. .

Then a new phenomenon came into existence. It was the news channels that were competing with each other. There were endless numbers of news channels on air now. CNBC, AAJ TAK, NDTV , ZEE NEWS , STAR NEWS etc. The game began then only.

The new mantra was fast and the furious. The more sensational the news the better it is. It was all started by AAJ TAK and all news channels blindly followed the trend. The end result was the deterioration of the quality of the news and sometimes the false information too.

There was an incident when AAJ TAK reported about a driverless car. There was a big discussion that went on regarding this. People called for the discussion included mechanical engineers, automobile experts etc. but the end result was that the driver Harish Tomar had long legs so he could drive sitting on the seat next to driver. It was a huge embarrassment for the channel.

There are a few exceptional cases in this field too. CNBC has quality although a business channel but still has great amount of content to offer. The team includes Karan Thapar, Udayan Mukharjee , Mitali, Shereen Bhan, Ayesha Faridi ,Tanvir Gill and lots more.

But the channel I like the most is NDTV as I never watch the news. The only shows I watch are we the People and Big Fight. Barkha Dutt is undoubtedly the best anchor on TV.

So the war continues and I have lots more to writeWill write it sometimes later…..

The Hottest Day, Placments and Stuff

Today is indeed the hottest day of the year so far. In Delhi the mercury reached 46 ? C and in Ganganagar it was touching 49. All seasons are important and in Punjab there exist every kind of climatic condition existing in this world. The winters are severe it reaches -2? C sometimes and in summers it may go up to 48-49? C.

Well I am yet to start with the preparation of placements etc. Have done almost nothing related to C++ forget the Aptitude preparation. This year Infosys changed the whole pattern. No more puzzles now. Lots of English stuff and Syllogisms too. Hope I go through it and if I don’t then this will cause a lot of burden as first placement is absolutely necessary.

Today I downloaded movie Zorba The Greek. Winner of 3 Oscars it is indeed a real classic. Black and White films are sometimes watch able too.

No CNBC TV18 today due to poor reception ? . Missed al of Shereen Bhan shows. Missed Tanvir Gill too. I will make a post about her someday. But one thing is for sure that she is the cutest news reader ever.

I gotta go now.. c ya later with more updates

Bye Bye Sem 6.. Continued

So starting with the usual post. The ritual that was associated with my old blog. This is different so I will post differently. I will make a post per subject.

So there was a finishing school at TU kinda personality development program (PDP). It was of 4 modules each module of 4 hours long.

We were not serious about it first of all. So most of us had to do it on second attempt. Me,Vikas and Akash were only persons from instru who did it in same batch.

Well the instructor was Dr B. Venugopal (Don’t remember his full name). He resembled Ashok Kumar a lot. Anyways here I learned from the PDP.

1) If you can speak well then you can earn Rs 500000 per month.
2) You should never offer hand to girl for handshake. Let her do it else a simple hi will do.
3) Dance like no one is watching. People don’t give a damn if you are a good dancer or not.
4) I came to know my 3 weaknesses and 3 strong points.
5) I now know ho to drink soup in a weird way.
6) If you see a 3 breasted women In a party then don’t get confused. She is hiding a mango in her blouse as she cant eat it in public.
7) 90% of the army men are lecherous 8) PG girls in TU are so cute,Sweet, hot etc etc.
9) I came to know that I am rude and I talk very less (being rude might be possible.. but I talk less..i don’t think so )
10) Rational thinking holds the key to success

It was a nice program all in all. It was enjoyable and at the same time helpful. Hope next time it is improved a bit for juniors….

How do girls reject??

How do girls reject??

I read this topic in a community at orkut. So I should have posted this thing there but I felt the content might be inappropriate.

Based on the experiences and rumors at Thapar University I got to know various ways in which girls reject. As due to the usual sex ratio of engineering colleges like 1 girl to every 20 boys the girls are usually on rejection spree and some of the girls might have rejected around 50+ guys in various ways.

A normal T-Shirt quote is “99% of the girls in this world are beautiful. Rest are in my college”. I think this is indeed a way to show the desperation. There are a few beautiful girls at TU (Goto orkut community of thapar university or thapar institute you will see a long list. Or simply search in youtube.com for thapar girls you will get something). Some are really hot too and can be seen regularly at cafeteria. They all can write a better post than this based on their experiences anyways to keep the length of the post short here I begin.

1) Girl:- At top of her voice (if a public place then even louder) You whaatttttttt?

2) We are here to study only (that girl now has another bf)

3) Sudhar jao abhi 2 sal aur saath classes lagani hain (it was a good one)

4) Sorry not interested.. (Happens when a guy proposes at a college function)

5) Sorry..hahahahahahaha…not interested (When she thinks the guy is joking.. but in 99.99% cases this is not so)

6) We are just good friends.. can we remain as such?? (Well yet to see a person who has said no to this.. most clever reply.. should get the award or something)

7) No.. I mean what is your problem.. (Poor chap he cant even say that girlie you are enquiring about yourself)
8) Shut up.. (Rarely used but I have heard of its existance)

9) “……..”. Dots signify nothing. Means girl doesn’t speak anything and simply walks away. Most of the rejections are like these in TU.

10) BANG!!!!!!!! A slap.. Saw this happening with a student of my year..

Well this post was based on the personal (which became universal) experiences of some of my friends and some seniors who with a faculty member of Career Launcher can launch CL(Casanova Launcher)
Bye blog.. catch ya soon

Shootout At Lokhandwala

I was supposed to write something that will follow the previous post but I am writing this as yesterday (SH) IT Happened yesterday i.e. I saw movie Shootout At Lokhandwala yesterday.

We were 8 persons in all who made the plan. The show was of 6:50 PM. Reached there around 6:30 and got the tickets. Here is a review of the film

1) Bullets and lots of bullets really make you mad.
2) Camera work is so pathetic that you will be irritated
3) Item songs aren’t required at all and they feel so out of place.
4) Tushar Kapoor and a sharp shooter.. hahahahahahahahaha
5) Title is like a 3rd class movie but it is more than that
6) Don’t go with your family
7) Don’t even think of it if you are weak hearted 8) If you have got a sharp brain then go for it as there will be plenty of goofs to keep your mind at work
9) This movie is similar to guru as in the end you cant tell who was hero and who was villain
10) Now you can appreciate the greatness of Quentin Tarantino as showing violence that too in an artistic way is not everyone’s cup of tea.
11) Well the only part that is +ve about the move is the short duration and fast pace of it.

So another action flick. Concept was cool but they somehow messed it up. 2.5/5 is all I can think of…

My 6th Semester .. A review that went awry

Another sem ended. Now I am in final year and the official senior of the college.

There are 4 stages in college life according to Swami Mandyshwar (Mandy Sir)

1) First year students:- Freshmen
2) Second year students:-Sophomores (Sophisticated Morones)
3) Third Year Students:-Juniors
4) Final year Students:-Seniors

I will write this post in a few parts as it has been a long time since I typed for this blog or for any blog. This sem was a bit unusual as I had no crush this sem and the older one (Ms oops Mrs D now) too vanished.

Before starting with the post I want to start a topic of discussion.

Why Indian girls change a lot after their wedding? (this is not the case with the western countries)

Ms D was beautiful because of her simplicity and the charm that was associated with her. Even though she mostly kept quiet there was a positive vibe of energy that was associated with her and that was the best part. A glow was there on her face that radiated her beauty. But after her wedding. She has changed completely. The glow has vanished, She uses makeup that looks so cheap (ok ok I will not use the word cheap. I will say it looks over). She isn’t attractive anymore in spite of the fact that she was on duty in our examination hall even then I didn’t see her and got 43/45 in that exam.

Enough about D now about the sem.

I won’t use the name of faculty members as it will create problem if google indexes it. It happened with my friend also and I am in no mood to take panga with any of the teacher now.

Actually I am fed up of this college now. It has been 3 long years and it is too much to handle now. Thapar University has given me a lot. It has taught me how to live in most pathetic environment and even then enjoy it. It is no better than the Shawshank prison. But anyways it gave me some of my best friends and I hope it gives me a good placement too now. Hope for the best and be ready for the worst that’s the other thing that it has taught me. Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Satyam. Don’t know where the destiny will take me anyways time will tell.

I saw Pirates of the Caribbean at the worlds end yesterday. Really awesome movie. It appeared slow and sluggish in the beginning but as it progressed it simply sucks you in and when it finishes you can only say.. WOW!!!! The problem was that I didn’t see the hidden scene and now searching like maniac for it on youtube but Walt Disney has pressurized youtube to remove it from the net. The best scene was of multiple jacks when one of them says.. Wait!!! Dropped me brain…

Jack Sparrow was simply awesome and as usual his role was full of humor and narcissism. But the star of the movie was indeed Captian Barbossa. He was amazing.

The movie is complicated. But enjoy it as mindless action flick you will love it..

Today hopefully I will see Shootout at Lokhandwala, Read the reviews of Cheeni Kum too they are really encouraging. So another movie goes in my “to be downloaded” list.

Well I will start with the description part from next post this is another post that has gone awry… Bye blog… Catch ya soon

Pearls of Wisdom

1. Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.

11. There comes a time when you should stop expecting other people to make a big deal about your birthday. That time is age eleven.

12. The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status or ethnic background, is that, deep down inside, we ALL believe that we are above-average drivers.

13. A person who is nice to you, but rude to the waiter, is not a nice person. (This is very important. Pay attention. It never fails.)

14. Your friends love you anyway.
