Namastey London

Namastey blog. I saw Namastey London today. So his post will be about it.

The day started in a normal way. I was to bunk whole day s oi got up at 9:45 AM. A strange thing happened then, I got sms form Akash about the plan of movie. Finally asking others and due to their busy schedule we were only 4 persons. Me,Akash,Jeet,Chiranjeev.

This time Akash stood in the line and got the tickets. There was a great rush. We could only get the extra chairs that were placed due to the heavy turnout. I cant forget to mention the cute the sweet and the beautiful girls there. Very unusual sight ….

Movie started. It was 1st day 2nd show. What happens in these shows deepi wrote long ago (when we went to see Don). The commentary was terrific. Some dialogues worth mentioning can be.

Scene: Upen Patel comes to his home and his dad slaps him….

The commentary:” Shakal dekh jive Sirhind road te kutta mariya hunda..”

Dafa jo ja ithon.. rest I cant write..

The movie is cool. I was sure to like it as Katrina is in it and she was looking very pretty in Indian as well as western outfits.

But it was Akshay who ruled the film. Everytime he was on screen we all laughed (there was a senti scene and we laughed at that too coz of commentary). Rishi kapoor was also funny in his Punjabi accent as the famous abuse “teri ….” Was also there

All in all a fun film full timepass….

Today was martyrdom day of Bhagat Singh. Most of the students wore turbans. Pics I will post soon…….

Bye blog.. catch ya later

Saturnalia,Sarkar and GATE

Finally my tired fingers are typing something for you. Thanks to my friends who inspire me to make posts. Now as always lots and lots of things to type but my laziness wont allow me.

Saturnalia happened in our college. You can read about it from here. Not much to say about it . it was boring as compared to last year, participation was lesser, fashion show was pathetic, Jassi night was boring like hell. But western dance was good and so was Black Slade and thanks to suneet he made a lot of videos and took pics too (west. Dance ooooooooo). Club RPM was other good thing that happened at this event.

I finally saw Sarkar yesterday. It was awesome. Although cant be compared with the godfather but AB is definitely Indian version of Brando. Abhishek was very good too although cant be compared with Pachino.

After 4 days of ash college started again. Really I love to hate my college but the example of my Homesick friend made me think about it once again..

Gotta run now. Parents are yelling to leave PC. By the way I cleared gate. I got All India Rank 153 and a score of 466. It would get some branch at DCE. Next time I’ll try for IITs. Anyways it seems Delhi calling for now..

Bye blog..catch ya soon…..

NISHABAD n TRAFFIC SIGNAL

Well hey blog.. I am back. Now I will write about the movies I saw at this weekend. As usual trying to make this post brief I start about the topic..

Traffic signal:- First of all thanks Arun for giving this movie. It was good I wont say great because great is the title very few movies deserve. As expected from a Madhur Bhandarkar film it was based on real stuff. This time the life of persons who make their living on traffic signal. Like beggars, newspaper sellers etc. I didn’t know that their life can be so interesting and full of all the stories that were part of the film. It had everything …comedy, romance, crime,drama.. whatever you can think of.. even the language used in the film looks appropriate and not too offensive like omkara. I cant type much to describe this film.. better see yourself….

NISHABAD:- I know the first thing that comes in your mind is “Theme is so pathetic”. Many of my friends said this whenever I discussed about this film. Finally today I got the chance to watch this film. So we were 4 people. Me,Suneet,Hardeep,Chiranjeev. Sadly Deepi couldn’t come with us as he had his MBA exam on Monday. Anyways the movie started. As usual RGV style. The locations were brilliant and so was the backgroung score. Now the movie itself. First of all remember a few things.

This movie wasn’t all about Jiah Khan (Although she is hot..ok ok very hot and the first thing I did after coming back home is to download her wallpaper and set it on my pc). This movie was all about Amitabh. He was terrific. He was the only one who carried the movie all along with him. His style, dialogues, acting, emotions, expressions all were perfect. We were comparing this film with American Beauty. But it wasn’t anyway near to it. That film was very crude and bold. This on the other hand was very conservative and sensitive. Thank god RGV handeled it perfectly. This movie is slow but like The shawshsnk redemption this makes the movie better and Jiah Khan is the best discovery of RGV so far. She is perfect in her role of a teenager who wants what she likes. I don’t want to write anything about the plot or ending of the film as it will act as a spoiler. In the end I can say that either you will like this movie or you will just reject it. I loved this film and I don’t care if anyone likes it or hates it and most probably I will try to watch It again.

In the end you just can’t help thinking that the film definitely needed to take its title seriously: some things are better left unsaid - Nishabd.
